DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
The elegant aesthetic of our Hemera collection was inspired by scientific and mythological beliefs of ancient Greece.
During this period of history night and day were thought to be two distinct substances, entirely independent from the sun.
Hemera, goddess of daytime, would use her radiance each morning to disperse the darkness that was cast over earth during the night.
Warm light is diffused from the core of each Hemera lamp through two veils of hand formed borosilicate glass. The dark inner glass representing night, the outer symbolising day.
